| Lancaster County- Lots of reports of hail and heavy rain. I think the largest hail was quarter size... from a large supercell that clipped the western side of the city early last evening. We broke more records!!! Record rainfall at Lincoln... the rainfall on 05 may 2007 in Lincoln of 3.35 inches broke the previous record of 1.41 set in 1942. The 3.35 inches also represents the largest daily total so early in the season. For may... it was second only to the 3.80 inches that fell on 22 may 1965. ... Record rainfall at Omaha... the rainfall on 05 may 2007 in Omaha of 3.37 inches broke the previous record of 1.40 set in 1960. The 3.37 inches is the greatest total on any calendar day in may. It also is the earliest for such a large daily amount. The earliest higher daily total was 5.02 inches that fell on 17 June 1875. This info is sans todays activity. |

| Yeah, it looks like the Storm Prediction Center downgraded our risk a bit, citing the lack of instability. Looks like the tornadic threat is nowhere near yesterday's. However, this storm still has a lot of twist to it, so any storm that goes up will put down some heavy rain. | |

| Well here we go. Today should be a day to be watching the radar. Last night over 5 dozen tornadoes were reported with this storm. I just hope the hail passes us by. John | |
